A Streetcar Named Macgyver
Lionel Richie

One could lazily judge Mr. Richie by his talentless trainwreck of a daughter, or by such cheesy tomes as "Dancing on the Ceiling", "Endless Love", or "Brick House." But to appreciate his genius, all you need to do is investigate that modulation that occurs, I believe, 8 or 16 measures in to the final chorus of "Easy (Like Sunday Morning)".

You know that part where it moves up in key, like, half a step—A flat to A natural I think. Yeah, that one. Go listen to it; I'll wait. Here it comes:

Da da da da DUM

Da Da DA DA DUM!

Yes! Ahhhh! I love that part. With the background vocals like that and the rising in key! And the way he says, "Oooh!" like that! Oh what a feeling! Feels like I'm dancing on the ceiling and shit.
